United Mileage Plus Award Sale 07/28/2010

United Mileage Plus members can redeem 30 percent fewer miles for award flights to destinations that are 700 miles or less from your departure city when booking by Aug. 31 for travel by Jan. 7, 2011.

For example, an award flight from New York City to Washington, D.C. would require only 8,750 miles one way or 17,500 miles roundtrip.

The discounted awards only apply to coach flights on United or United Express within the continental U.S. or between the continental U.S. and Canada. Only awards booked online at united.com are eligible for the discount.

The discount also applies to eligible Miles & Money awards on flights that are 700 miles or less. The miles required for these awards will be reduced from 10,000 miles to 7,000 miles plus cash.

You must purchase discounted awards a minimum of seven days before departure.
