If you don't already have the Starwood Preferred Guest American Express card, you may want to take advantage of a current sign-up offer.
New cardmembers who apply by July 31, 2010 will receive 30,000 bonus points after spending $1,000 in the first three months.
Plus, the $45 annual fee is waived the first year,
SPG members who transfer 20,000 points into airline miles will receive 5,000 bonus miles. And with many airlines, points transfer at a 1:1 ratio so you can receive 35,000 miles if you convert the bonus points into miles.
